"I can't pack up Mt. Rushmore and take it home now, can I? What else is there to see in South Dakota?"
These words or a variation on the theme can often be heard from those who are not very familiar with everything the 40th state in the union has to offer. Contrary to popular opinion, South Dakota is brimming with talent. Numerous artists, craftspeople, and artisans reside and create here.
Every year, South Dakota Magazine does a wonderful job of showcasing this vast talent in the annual Gift Guide, which is distributed to the subscribers together with the November/December issue of the magazine, and can also be accessed online. Online issue even features handy icons to help you with social sharing as well as visiting particular artists'/craftspeople's or retailers' websites.
This year is no exception when it comes to the quality of South Dakota Gift Guide. It is chock full of wonderful gift ideas for everyone on your (or Santa's) list, all of them made right here in South Dakota.
Now, there is something especially interesting about this year's Gift Guide, particularly if you are a fan or follower of hART Sense Design. For the first time in existence of our design studio, we are included in the Guide. Go ahead, flip those pages now! You will find us right on top of page 11.
So, what are you waiting for? Go flip through the pages of South Dakota Gift Guide, but make sure to return to hART Sense Design Shop. We have quite a few new designs in our collection, and more will be added as the holidays get closer.
