Young people in the city of Victoria can now apply for next year’s free U-PASS for young people.
The transit pass will be valid from January 1 to December 31, 2022 and allows youth between the ages of 13 and 18 to travel for free on the Victoria Regional Transit System.
“Free public transport services give young people reliable access to school, work and play and make it easier to explore the city without the need for a vehicle,” Victoria Mayor Lisa Helps said in A press release. âThe free U-PASS is essential to encourage young public transport users who will continue to choose public transport for years to come and help reduce emissions by preventing future cars from driving. “
Victoria youth, their parents and / or guardians will need to provide documentation and confirm their eligibility to participate in the free City of Victoria Youth U-PASS program when applying online at upass.victoria.ca. Those who cannot apply online can apply in person at the city’s public service center in town hall.
Questions about the program can be directed to the City’s Public Service team by emailing email@example.com or calling 250-385-5711.
